I am four years into a new passion for growing flowers and I have a voracious appetite for knowledge on the subject. This book is full of information which will help a person grow many varieties of flowers more successfully. It includes sowing and transplanting information as well as useful tips and tricks and really beautiful photographs. It is a valuable addition to my home gardening library. One negative comment: the editing is really bad, so many little mistakes! Still, I would buy it again for all of the fantastic information. I'm finding enough useful information in this book to make me glad that I bought it but the author concentrates on his personal favorites rather than on any particular category of flower and it seems an odd assortment. The illustrations are lovely and the overall design of the book is pleasing. I do have to put it down in frustration now and then, however, because of careless (or maybe no) copy-editing. Missing words and misplaced or repeated captions occur frequently.
